Assuring Cushion From The Invested Portfolio

Today is a day in which I have the reassurance of having the portfolio as a comforting back-up for the job-less employment.

Let me share with you the details on the encounter in my full-time employment.

My manager gave me an instruction which I feel to be inappropriate. I expressed my concern and requested my manager to highlight the rationale of the instruction. My manager suddenly challenged me by saying that I have an issue on personal basis and challenge to resign from the full time employment if I am not happy with the instruction. I informed my manager that I am into the issue not on personally but on work-related basis.

The argument ended on a sour note. My direct manager did not support me during the argument.

I reflect on this incident and treasure the fortunate circumstance in which I can quit from my full-time employment if I want to do so. The option to do so, is like a golden key to me. I know that I do not have to depend on this full-time employment for survival.
