Fourth Job. FIRE Or Fifth Job. It Does Not Matter. Let Nature takes its course as per my preference

I am in my fourth job in almost 18 years. It is about 4.5 years per job. When I first landed my first job in 2000, I had the thought of making this job as the first and last job in my career. As I went along in the first job, I was being passed over for promotions many many times. This was despite me working hard and putting extra hours of time to achieve the best performance in my job. One possible reason is that I do not have a good degree unlike those co-workers with the first class honours from the most prestigious universities from my country.

I started to realise that it will be futile to bide my time and wait for the promotion. Indeed, I managed to get the promotion in last second year of my first job. I kept looking for opportunities and kept going for interviews and managed to get the offer of my second job.

I work hard in my job. However, I do not rule out the opportunity of other jobs which arise. I still go for interviews and will consider seriously when the job offer comes. I will go for the job which offers the significant increase in the remunerations. I do not splurge the money on the luxury items like the car, property etc. I invest the saved money in the share investment which will generate dividends on a continuous basis for a lifetime.

In my current (fourth) job, I no longer have the fear of losing the job. I have the option of quitting this job and do the things which I like. I can also continue applying for the new position in the hope of securing the fifth job of the working career. The options are plentiful and I feel great having such options. I will continue to work hard in my current job and my manager will continue to have the impression that I cannot afford to lose this job. I will continue to be humble and learn as many things as possible.
