During these years in the workforce, I encountered various circumstances in the jobs. I note that some people do not want to move around in the job. In addition, such group of people tend to stay in their own department and do not want to move around the various departments once a couple of years within the same organisation. They like to remain in comfort zone whereby they are used to the familiarity in the job posts. I encountered some instances in which such group of people are directed by the Management to move to other departments which are not to their preferences.
The above circumstances show that it is better to take charge by choosing the jobs which one wants. Change jobs once a couple of years and the initative lies with one rather than the external parties. Moreover, when one changes jobs, it is very likely that one will secure a significant increase in the remuneration. It will be a win-win situation for one who has the initiative by embracing job.
