In life, there is a presumably Standard Operating Procedure (“SOP”) on the way how people lead their life. Born –> Nursery –> Primary ->Secondary->College/Polytechnic->National Service (for males in Singapore)->Full Time Employment->Get Married->Children->Retirement->Leave the World.
People will criticise the minimum few for not following SOP. I do not understand in which most people have such thoughts. I am of the minimum few. I ignore the criticism on my decision to remain single and not having children (as thing stands at the current age of 40). I do not care about other people’s opinions as I am of view that this is the type of life which I feel to be suitable for me.
I only live once. I do not know whether there will be afterlife after my departure from this world. I do not hinge on doing the things in the afterlife (which may not exist) after I am gone. The most important thing is to be happy at all times and focus on things which matter the most to me.
