A lot of people will be wondering on the amount of capital or investment portfolio one must aim to accumulate before calling it a day for FIRE. I will say that it differs from individual and individual. One may need $500,000 and the other may need $1 million. The third person may want $2 million. A simple math will be 25 times annual expenses. This is the general rule of guide which I presume to be flexible as per my perspective. I feel that there is no need for a rigid rule in which one may hit the certain amount in order to call it a day. One will still need to have some form of work during FIRE. This form of work will be in his/her interest and he/she will have the option to do such work and quit when the interest is not there. I think that this is the best circumstance in which one will be in, as per my perspective.
