Relation Between Time And Money

I have not owned a car and property. I take public transport and walk most of the time. It takes a lot for me to buy anything.

As till to date, I only owned two desktop. The laptop which I am typing this post on this laptop, is handed over from my sibling.

It is not about living like a monk, no being “cheap”, it’s about waste.  With everyone forgets is that one do not buy things with money, one buy them with hours of the time. This is akin to one wasting money is equivalent to wasting one’s time.

Hence, I do not enjoy buying things, because I place a huge value on time. When I do buy things, I am going to extract their usefulness, to extend their lifespan. Keeping things forever, will stretch what one’s time is worth.

Incidentally, when one start valuing the time, the byproduct is more time. One can prove this aspect by saying “no” to people more often.

When one is not spending money on meaningless things, one has the money to invest, and the invested money (channelled into the investment portfolio) can be used to buy back the time.
