The unpredictability of the economy has a great impact on the bonuses of the employees with the full-time employment. This is relevant in the country of my residence. During the full-time employment, I encountered instances in which there were reduction in the bonus relating the companies and public sector which I have worked for. This is an example of one relying on the bonus for the expenditures such as the holidays, cars etc. I do not hanker for such luxury. I channelled such fund into the investment portfolio. I was chilled by the peers for not going with the norms in spending the remunerations and bonus on the enjoyments.
I believe that I will be able to use the generated dividends from the investment portfolio on the enjoyments. I have gone for a few holidays and such holidays have broadened my horizon. I realise that I do not have much urge for more holidays given that I have seen the details in the countries such as Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong and Macau. Perhaps this is my way in which I see the outlook and horizon of life. I prefer simplicity and peace of mind. The generated dividend from the investment portfolio funds my expenses. The excess dividends are being used to channel back to the investment portfolio which will in turn generate more dividend. As mentioned before, I have contemplated on part-time employment and have yet to embark on one so far given that I have yet to find the suitable one who can cater to my interest. I could have opted for one which is not of my interest at the first time of offer. The remuneration from the part-time employment can be used to channel into the investment portfolio.
I have many options. It is great to have such options at my disposal.
